Grinding up some flax seeds this morning.  I buy them whole and grind them in small batches myself as they can go rancid very quickly.  I use a dry blade which is flat unlike a typical blender blade.  I use either a coffee grinder or my bullet blender.  Vitamix makes one too but I don’t need that yet.

It’s best to keep your nuts and seed (fats) in the fridge if you are going to use them reasonably quickly, but put the rest in the freezer.  I buy bulk on most things to get a better price, so my freezer stores all my fats except for chia which have such high antioxidants they do not go rancid for years!
